New shoes!
Gina continues to get stronger and is now walking so much the slipper socks just aren't enough anymore, so she got a new pair of tennies! She's trucking right along now and the goal is to have her walking to all her therapies by next Tuesday.
She was playing fetch with Ansley today.....or was it Ansley was playing fetch with Gina????? Ansley was supposed to go get the ball when Gina threw it, but would just look at Gina instead and wait for her to go get the ball herself. We think that he thought that for him to get the ball was much too undignified and dog-like....after all, his ID tag does say "Ansley, MD". Does he think it stands for Medical Doctor? It doesn't ......it's Medical Dog! :-D
After Gina's day was done, the three of us played a couple of games in her room with her and she found almost anything Paul was doing or saying absolutely hysterical and fell over in her bed more than once laughing.....it was a great evening....we're so glad Gina has her sense of humor back and is able to express it!!!!!!
Rockin' On,
Mimi

It is so excellent to hear about how your PT is coming together! I bet that you would do even better with your PT if your mom did it with you! I know how much your mom loves going to the gym (hee hee)...
Paul...the offer still stands to come out for a ski ride @ MRM!

I like JD's comment about your mom doing the PT. Heck, who needs the dog...have your MOM go fetch the darn ball!

Gina,
It was so good to hear your voice! I was almost in tears. You keep getting stronger and stronger and just wait in another week! You will be rollerblading down the halls (Ha)! Papa and I are so proud of your progress and Papa was VERY impressed watching you work in therapy. You really are doing super!
See you soon and remember we love you.
Papa and Nancy
Gina,
Gigi says that Ansley is a wimp, and that she fetches much better, especially raw-hide bones - though she is not always willing to give them back to you until she has slimed them first.
Get out soon! The snow is good!

I know what's going to happen now. Next time I come to see you you'll be gone somewhere, downstairs in the cafeteria catching up on all the good foods you've missed, pizza, cheeseburgers, cake and ice cream, etc. or in the gift shop dropping dollars or just jogging down some hall. Maybe checking out the 18 year old male patients, OH!!!! I'd better stop right here. Love you, Grandma Roz
