Busy, Busy, Busy
I'd like to start this blog off by apologizing for the lateness of it. I'm usually up early enough in the morning and have time to write it, but I slept in today and when I woke up, Gina's therapists were ready to rock and roll.
Yesterday went well. We got moved and settled in to Gina's new digs. They don't waste any time around here in getting therapy started. Gina did very well with her tasks and is trying very hard. She even got to spend some time with the therapy dog. He's a black lab named Ansley and very soft and sweet.
Many of you have had questions about Gina's birthday coming up this Wednesday. She can see well now and has good focus, but is still in a state of comprehension that causes her to become easily upset, overstimulated, and frustrated. So, with Gina's best interest put first, we're still not allowing visitors. We will have a birthday party for her when she is able, but it may be a few months. If you would still like to send her cards or balloons or something, please feel free to do so and we'll make sure that she gets to look at each one.
Hugs,
Mimi

A GUT-WRENCHING FART STORY
A man woke up every morning and passed gas. After about eight or nine years of marriage, his wife finally said, if you fart any more, you'll fart your guts out. Being a butcher, the wife decided to put pig scraps in his pants so he would wake up, and not do it anymore. She put the scraps in his pants that night.
He woke up in the morning and went across the hall to the bathroom. Two long hours later, he came out and stated, honey, you were right about me farting my guts out BUT WITH THE GRACE OF THE DEAR LORD AND THESE TWO FINGERS. I GOT THEM BACK IN THERE.
Hang in there!
It's great to read the updates and hearing Gina's moved to rehab! Sounds like she and the rest of you are up for the challenge ahead and the many rewards yet to come. God bless!

Mimi and Paul,
I work at Childrens and just want to let her friends know not to send latex balloons. They will not let the latex balloons up on the floor due to other patients allergies. Mylar balloons are fine. I would hate for Gina or her friends to be upset their gifts could not be brought to her. If I can be of any assistance while you are at Childrens please let me know. Gina knows my son Johnathan from Scioto and MRM and my husband Chris is an instructor at MRM.
The blog is wonderful. All of you keep up the great work.
GOD Bless!
