Watching & Waiting

Gina is beginning to show some signs of improvement. Yesterday, she opened her eyes several times and was able to recognize Paul and me. Some further tests are being run, but at this point, the docs are mostly waiting for her to wake up.

Gina is in the intensive care unit of Doan's Hall, 4th Floor at OSU Hospitals. (NO flowers allowed) Paul and I would welcome visitors as we are staying at the hospital 24/7 and need some "breaks". We both have family helping out with our daily needs so what we really need are your prayers and support more than anything.

Stay tuned to this blog as I'll update everyone on Gina's progress as we work through her ordeal . We are blown away by the amount of calls and emails from everyone and want each of you to know how greatly we appreciate your concern for us!

Hope is a state of mind not of the world.
I hope that your health is soon restored.

Faith is reason grown courageous.

Mimi,
A fellow employee went through this with his daughter. She missed much of her senior year but graduated with her class and is now attending college. The early improvements certainly are encouraging for a full recovery. Time moves slowly for you now but soon she'll be going a million miles an hour and you won't be able to keep up with her. I pray for Gina's recovery and strength for you as you wait this out. May God bless you and keep you.

Dearest Gina and Family,
Thank-you so much for creating this site and providing us an opportunity to share in Gina's recovery! The Dublin Scioto Staff and Students have been very concerned about her progress and condition. I was so excited to read that she opened her eyes! Gina is an amazing artist and photographer, and her photograph is currently on display at the Scholastic Art Awards 2008 Show. The opening reception is this Sunday, 11 a.m.-1p.m. at the Canzani Center on the campus of the Columbus College of Art and Design. The exhibit will continue until January 31. Congratulations Gina on this exceptional honor! We will take pictures for you/family!! I miss seeing your smile everyday, 7th period!!
Thinking and praying for you and your family!

Hi Gina! I haven't been working at Kohl's until last night (1/28) when I heard about your accident. I know you know I care about you and have always felt like you are like one of my own children. Hey, you have to get better. I wanted to go snow boarding with you! Ha! Could you see me snowboard!!!That would be a site. I think all of the Sawmill Road Kohl's employees would come out just to see that! You are a champ in my book and I want you to know what a great person you are and what your friendship has meant to me. I will try to get up to the hospital to see you soon. Love ya, your Kohl's Mom, Susan M.
